Iowa Healthcare Collaborative

The Iowa Healthcare Collaborative (IHC) is pleased to announce the launch of a new project called the Carroll County Child and Adolescent Behavioral Health Program. This four-year Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) initiative is aimed at establishing and expanding sustainable behavioral health care services for children and adolescents aged 5-17 years and to prevent substance misuse. IHC will work alongside Carroll County community partners to achieve the overarching areas of support below. Overarching Areas of Support + Establish new behavioral health prevention, treatment, and recovery services for children and adolescents aged 5-17 years. + Improve the capacity of rural health care providers, non-clinical staff and community members to care for and support children and adolescents with behavioral health needs through providing training and peer mentorship opportunities. + Build community partnerships to ensure children and adolescents, and their families, have access to community resources and human services that support prevention of, treatment of, and recovery from behavioral health disorders. Community partners supporting this work are comprised of local leaders committed to working together to support the unique needs of Carroll County. Community partner organizations include: St. Anthony Regional Hospital, Plains Area Mental Health Center, Catholic Charities, Seasons Center for Behavioral Health, New Opportunities, Carroll Community School District, Kuemper Catholic School System, and Coon Rapids-Bayard Community School District.
