It is crucial that professionals working with young people have the necessary information and skills to understand and apply privacy regulations related to their health information, to ensure high quality behavioral health treatment services. Moreover, providers working within rural areas, in which young people might have limited access to treatment services, must understand the privacy regulations concerning telehealth treatment.
