The Disparities Impact Statement (DIS) template is a deliverable for this project that you will be required to complete. There was a webinar discussing the DIS for all relevant cohorts on November 15, 2022. This webinar provided RCORP grantees with the tools to complete a disparities impact statement, to support efforts to address populations in rural communities that have historically suffered from poorer health outcomes and health inequities as a part of the prevention, treatment, and recovery of SUD/OUD. We strongly encourage you to review these documents or listen to the recording when it is posted to the RCORP- TA portal at a later date. Cohort-Specific Sessions/Activities and Day 2 Wrap-Up

In this session, a former RCORP-Planning, current RCORP-Implementation, and newly awarded RCORP-Psychostimulant grantee shared how it used multisectoral collaboration, lived experience, and second-chance employment to build a program from the ground up.

Joined this panel of former RCORP-Planning grantees as they shared their lessons learned and how they hit the ground running as they completed Planning and embarked on Implementation. Heard from panelists who received Implementation funding as well as those who were able to move forward without dedicated Implementation funding.

JBS’s Robert Childs discussed the key concepts of harm reduction and evidence-based harm reduction interventions that grantees can implement to reduce overdose in their rural communities. Staff from Arkansas Behavioral Health Integration Network shared lessons learned from their RCORP-Planning grant in gaining buy-in for harm reduction concepts and planning for harm reduction services in rural Arkansas.

This session provided participants with realistic and achievable steps to help consortiums leverage their RCORP-Planning efforts to achieve long-lasting sustainable impact. Participants heard from two RCORP-Planning III sites that are successfully navigating and securing sustainability for their communities using different approaches.

Discharge planning is recognized as an essential component of psychiatric care. Patients released from inpatient facilities can reasonably expect to be given prescriptions for needed medications (or the medications themselves) and a referral to a mental health professional who can provide follow-up care. Do the same expectations apply to correctional facilities, which today house so many people with serious mental illnesses?

This session will walk through the strategic plan template provided by JBS International in the Grantee Onboarding Packet for HRSA RCORP-Planning Grantees. During this workshop style webinar, facilitators will walk grantees through the template section by section, discussing the required elements and providing examples of each section. Grantees will learn how to use their data to determine problem statements, goals, objectives, and outcomes for their strategic plan as well as how to include metrics to successfully track their progress.

This webinar was a continuation of the previously scheduled Grant Writing Strategies Webinar- Part 1. Pam Baston provided more practical examples of grant writing strategies and techniques from many successful proposals.
