Telehealth can help address Coronavirus (COVID-19) and other pandemic situations by limiting exposure to infection for vulnerable populations and health care workers. Telehealth can also expand the reach of resources to communities that have limited access to needed services. This allows patients to receive health services away from settings where potential for contracting infectious diseases are high, such as hospitals, health clinic waiting rooms, private practices, etc. Our Telehealth Resource Centers (TRCs) have compiled and developed resources specific to their regions.

The MAT for OUD Playbook aims to address the growing need for guidance as more primary care practices and health systems begin to implement MAT. The Playbook’s framework is designed to be useful for practices implementing any array of MAT services.

This is one of three courses that comprise the Opioid Use Disorder Education Program (OUDEP), an innovative interprofessional continuing education program produced by Harvard Medical School (HMS). Identification, Counseling, and Treatment of Opioid Use Disorder focuses on current best practices in identification and treatment of OUD, including treatment and maintenance with different medications, psychosocial approaches to treatment, addressing co-occurring psychiatric disorders, and preventing and treating overdose.

This webinar provided a review of basic principles of integrated behavioral health and an update on recent outcomes and implementation research.

On November 23rd, HRSA began distributing $7.5 billion in American Rescue Plan (ARP) Rural payments to health care providers and suppliers who serve rural Medicaid, Children's Health Insurance Program, and Medicare patients. More than 40,000 providers are receiving payments. Many ARP Rural payment recipients will also be eligible for additional funding through the $17 billion Provider Relief Fund (PRF) Phase 4 opportunity that used the same application; Phase 4 payments will be announced in the coming weeks. Health care organizations can use these payments to make up for the lost revenues and increased expenses caused by the pandemic.
