Join the Opioid Response Network's Stand Against Stigma Challenge

Posted 4/20/2022 (updated 3/27/2024)

The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration-funded Opioid Response Network (ORN) initiative has launched the Stand Against Stigma (SAS) Challenge. This is an opportunity for those in the healthcare industry to address and dispel stigma related to individuals with substance use disorders through easy, daily activity.

If you need help with education and training for the prevention, treatment or recovery of opioid use disorders, stimulant use and other substance use disorders, you have come to the right place.

About the Stand Against Stigma Challenge

Anyone can take the Stand Against Stigma Challenge at www.SASChallenge.org. Here’s what you need to do:

  1. Commit to 21 days of quick, daily activity to educate yourself, your organization and community.
  2. Sign up to participate and choose one activity each day from the list we provide within the resource library at www.SASChallenge.org. Read, watch, listen and learn about substance use disorder stigma. Are there other resources you think we should add? Submit them at www.SASChallenge.org.
  3. Share what you learn and challenge others to Stand Against Stigma.
