Building on Part I of the stigma webinar series and its introduction of a statewide collective impact model for addressing stigma, this webinar will deliver the first part of the model that also serves as its conceptual framework. This webinar will introduce the stages of change and show grantees how these apply to their target populations. We will also discuss how those same principles apply to grantee engagement of community stakeholders and their openness to evidence-based practices that reduce morbidity and mortality related to SUD/OUD.

Learning Objectives:

  • Understand the burden of change
  •  Understanding how behavior change happens
  •  Discuss how understanding the stages of change can help keep people safe, build self-efficacy, and support the change process
  • Learn how to support community members through the process of change
