Learning Sessions: Implementing Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Practices in Health Care Settings: A New Learning Collaborative for RCORP Grantees

In collaboration with the Weitzman Institute, JBS International, Inc. RCORP grantees are invited to register their interest to participate in a six-week learning collaborative that will run on Tuesdays and Thursdays between October 11 and November 17, 2022 and walk participants through implementing justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion (JEDI) practices to recruit, retain, and engage their health workforce.

Over the course of this collaborative, organizations will be guided through the implementation of agency-wide JEDI practices including developing inclusive hiring and retention strategies, engaging employees, fostering an inclusive organizational culture, designing a health equity plan, and applying metrics to measure success.

Dates

Beginning Tuesday, October 11 and ending Thursday, November 17, formal Learning Sessions and corresponding, supportive Activity Sessions will be held 3:00-4:00pm (ET).

  • Learning Session Dates: Tuesdays, October 11, 18, 25 and November 1, 8, 15
  • Activity Session Dates: Thursdays, October 13, 20, 27 and November 3, 10, 17

Target Audience and Participation Expectations

This learning collaborative is appropriate for leadership, operations and human resources staff, clinician managers, and all champions of diversity and health equity work in health care settings. Selected organizations will be expected to have 2-4 team members engage in the learning collaborative and representation at all six Learning Sessions and six Activity Sessions.

Due to the personalized support and coaching that participating organizations will receive, seats are limited. All organizations that register interest by the deadline of September 30 will be notified by October 4 of their status in this learning collaborative. Continuing Education Credits

CME, CNE, CPE, and CEU credits will be available for each learning session for physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, nurses, psychologists, pharmacists, registered dietitians, and clinical social workers by Community Health Center, Inc., an accredited provider through Joint Accreditation for Interprofessional Continuing Education for a maximum total of 12 credits.
